Assaha Lebanese Traditional Village

The Assaha International Group (AIG), which, starting from the situation of the Lebanese tourism nowadays, especially the sector of services of culture, education, tourism and tourist sites in general, and in order to revive the nostalgia found in the mind of each human being, whatever his allegiance, desires and aspirations are, we thought of establishing a tourist company dealing with tourist projects in their various aspects, from idea and design, then execution and then project management. Then the idea was materialized and developed, and resulted in the first tourist project of the company, Lebanon’s traditional Village “Assaha”, in Beirut, airport Avenue, area space: 10878 m2.

The project in Lebanon comprises a tourist and cultural center with local feature. The designer and creator, manager of “Group”, architect Jamal MAKKE was inspired by the book of the Lebanese writer Anis Freiha “Lebanese Village – A Civilization Menaced of Extinction’ in which he warned against the extinction of the Lebanese village more than fifty years ago. He materialized such idea through architectural spaces and empty places like the spring, square, upper room, narrow passage, souk and old village houses with small details…
